OneSky’s Senior Leadership Team oversees and supports our organization’s operations, programs, and people. With a depth of expertise across social services, finance, employee experience, and service delivery sectors, the team ensures the execution of strategic priorities and ensures programs and services are effective.

Tanya Behardien, MA, ABS, RCC

Executive Director

Tanya has been leading OneSky since 2008, bringing with her more than 30 years of experience in the social services sector to her leadership role.

Alongside her work at OneSky, she has held provincial leadership roles, including serving as President of the Federation of Community Social Services of BC and as a Board Director for the BC CEO Network—reflecting her passion for community, good governance, and positive systems change.

At OneSky, Tanya is all about bringing people together, building strong teams, and helping create programs that genuinely make life better for individuals and families across the South Okanagan.

Kathy Hamilton, CPA, CMA

Director of Finance

Kathy joined OneSky in 2015 and is the steady hand behind the organization’s financial systems.

A Certified Management Accountant, Kathy brings decades of experience in financial leadership across engineering, environmental services, and community organizations. Before joining OneSky, she held senior roles as VP Finance & CFO in the oil and gas sector, giving her a strong background in complex financial operations and strategic oversight.

Yancy Ochoa, MIR

Director of People + Culture

Yancy Ochoa has been part of the OneSky team since 2020 leading the organization’s people and culture strategy.

She holds a master’s degree in Industrial Relations from Queen’s University and her career experience includes public service, Indigenous government, education, and the nonprofit sectors giving her a well-rounded perspective on how to support people and teams in meaningful ways.

Yancy has a deep commitment to equity, inclusion, diversity and accessibility creating workplaces where all staff feel that they belong.

Jared Hidber, MAL

Director of Programs + Services

Jared joined the team at OneSky in October 2025 after building his career in community programs and leadership roles across the Okanagan. Prior to OneSky, he worked with BGC Okanagan as Vice President of CYSN and earlier as Director of Operations, where he supported teams and helped shape programs for children, youth, and families.

Jared has a master’s degree in Leadership from Royal Roads University and provides leadership to Foundry Penticton and OneSky’s childcare programs.

When he’s not working, you’ll find him outdoors or spending time with family and friends.

Juliana Buitenhuis

Director of Programs + Services

Juliana has served on the OneSky Board of Directors since 2022 and joined the OneSky Senior Leadership Team in March 2026, taking on leadership of the Community Living Services and Seniors Wellness programs.

Prior to joining OneSky, Juliana spent time as the Community Development Coordinator at the City of North Vancouver and most recently as an administrator at Okanagan College connecting with students, families, businesses, non-profits and the municipality. Juliana is also a volunteer on the City of Penticton’s Arts and Culture Committee and a Director at Community Futures – South Okanagan.

Michael Watt, MA, BCBA

Director of Programs + Services

Michael has been a member of the OneSky team since 2020. He brings more than two decades of experience in social services across Northern BC and provides leadership to Early Years, Clinical, and Children and Family Services, and plays a key role in supporting the organization’s ongoing quality assurance work.

He is a Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst, a CARF Accreditation Surveyor and holds a master’s degree in Disability Management from the University of Northern British Columbia and completed graduate studies in Behaviour Sciences at the University of British Columbia.

Michael is deeply committed to promoting evidence‑based, person‑centred practices that uphold the dignity and wellbeing of the individuals and families OneSky serves.
