I have been providing counselling services to individuals and families for almost 20 years. I take a collaborative approach to counselling with an emphasis on harnessing the unique healing and problem-solving capacities of my clients. In addition to providing services as a Counselling Psychologist, I am also an Associate Professor with the Graduate Centre for Applied Psychology at Athabasca University.

I support individuals, couples and families through a person-centered focus on solutions and systems. My approach to counselling is a collaborative and strength based journey that seeks to explore and ultimately harness each individual’s unique resources. I am also an educator where my role is to work with teams of professionals to promote inclusion and community for diverse learners. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors; I hold a Masters in Counselling and a Graduate Certificate in Special Education.
Melanie Gale, BSW, MSW, RSW (#10612)
I offer counselling services for children age 12 and up, youth, adults and couples. My approach to counselling is client-centered with a strength-based perspective, viewing the client as the expert in their life. I use various therapies based on client strengths, personality and desired goals. I believe that with a non-judgmental, supportive therapeutic relationship, every person can create positive change in his or her life. I have a Master’s of Social Work and am registered with the BC College of Social Workers and the BC Association of Social Workers.
Tanya Behardien, MA, RCC (#2329)
I have been counselling individuals, couples and families for 25 years and have a strong commitment to lifelong learning and teaching. My passion is working collaboratively with clients and clinicians from all walks of life. I am available for counselling, supervision and group facilitation. I am an Associate Faculty Member at City University (Seattle) and the Executive Director at OneSky Community Resources.
Jill Taggart, PhD, RCC (#11237)
I am the Director of Clinical Services at OneSky. In my counselling role, I work alongside individuals, couples and families as they gain a better understanding of themselves and find the tools within to achieve long term happiness. My counselling practice brings an attachment and trauma sensitive lens to family dynamics. I work with clients who are experiencing anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, abuse, depression, life transitions, relational issues and gender related concerns. I provide clinical supervision to therapists throughout the South Okanagan. I am also Associate Faculty at City University of Seattle in Canada, teaching and supervising counselling interns. I am currently accepting adult clients, particularly those in their older years and their families.
