I think my clients would say that I am kind, caring and collaborative and that I help them to have hope that things will get better. I am also a curious person and believe it is important for me to understand the world the way the client sees things before we move towards exploring possible solutions.
I love the privilege of walking beside folks as they navigate life challenges and seeing their efforts that result in better relationships with themselves and others. People are the experts in their own lives and it is truly an honor to be a witness on their life journey towards improved well-being.
My therapeutic approach draws upon narrative therapy, brief solution oriented therapy, and a variety of family therapy methods. I believe that we co-create experiences and I am drawn to explore patterns of interaction to see how problems are maintained and opportunities to shift or disrupt patterns that are harmful.
When I am not working, I love spending time with my family and enjoying the outdoors.
