OneSky has been a trusted, local provider of licensed childcare services for over 47 years. We currently operate eight (8) licensed centres that provide 340 childcare spaces in the region and are adding 116 more spaces at a brand-new centre on Edmonton Avenue in Penticton this fall. OneSky is seeking caring, enthusiastic, dedicated professionals who are passionate about providing quality early learning experiences to young children.

Nature of Position

These are full-time positions available in Penticton for a dedicated, motivated Early Childhood Educator. The Early Childhood Educator is responsible for implementing developmentally appropriate programs that meet the observed needs of the children and leading children in activities to stimulate and develop their intellectual, physical, and emotional growth.


The successful candidate will have, at minimum, an Early Childhood Educator Certificate with current license to practice and previous childcare experience. Infant Toddler and/or Special Needs certification, valid First Aid Certificate, Class 4 Driver’s License and/or Food Safe certificate would be an asset.

There is also an opportunity to qualify for paid ECE training, in accordance with the OneSky Career Development Policy, if you have an ECEA, RA or extensive experience in the field. Please identify your interest in being considered for this benefit in your application.


ECE wage starts at $22.02 per hour, which includes the ECE Wage Enhancement. Eligible staff also receive company paid benefits (extended health, dental, vision care, and more, and enrolment in the Municipal Pension Plan).


We are hiring specifically for the new childcare centre on Edmonton Avenue in Penticton, but staff may be deployed to other OneSky childcare centres (Hand in Hand, Little Triumphs, Little Learners, and Little Explorers) in Penticton.
