A Sense of Place: Learning in Real-World Settings
Our sense of place in the world is more than what is outside our doors. Each part of our lives happens in places – places of nature, history, culture, emotion, and more.
How can we observe and discover what place means to our children?
How can we support learning in these places?
How, as educators, can we become better facilitators by learning more about the natural and local history of this region?
In this workshop, we will look at what place means to children and to us.
Date: Saturday October 2, 2021
Time: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Location: Days Inn, 152 Riverside Drive, with a nature tour along the channel.
