Sexual Abuse Intervention

The Sexual Abuse Intervention program provides emotional support, counselling and education to individuals younger than 19 years, their families and community groups who have been affected by sexual abuse.

Eligibility

This program is intended for individuals younger than 19 years of age, their families and community groups who have been affected by sexual abuse.

Individuals and families can self-refer or be referred by community professionals at the request of the family. Referrals are screened for eligibility to determine if services will be suitable and helpful to the participants’ situation. Support is provided as needed to identify other resources that may be available.

Services are provided free of charge. Funding for this program is through the Ministry of Children and Family Development.
